Toyota Recall: Lexus Fuel Leaks Put Thousands at Risk

Toyota has recalled more than 400,000 Lexus cars after learning that a manufacturing defect can lead to fuel leaks and, in some cases, vehicle fires.  In response, the law firm of Lowe Scott Fisher Co., LPA has begun investigating potential injuries and wrongful deaths caused by Toyota’s dangerous, defective vehicles.

The recall applies to 2006 to 2011 GS, 2007 to 2010 LS and the 2006 to 2011 IS models.  In these models, Toyota’s manufacturing process allowed some deleterious particles to come into contact with gaskets, which in turn can instigate a chemical chain reaction resulting it fuel leaks.  Fuel leaks always pose a risk of serious personal injury or death, and Toyota/Lexus’s negligence has endangered not only Lexus drivers but everyone else sharing the road.
