February 20, 2014

Cleveland personal injury attorney James A. Lowe, firm partner at Lowe Scott Fisher Co., LPA, was recently inducted into the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. As a highly respected, nationally recognized trial attorney, he was selected for his exceptional skills, professionalism and integrity.

“The International Academy of Trial Lawyers is truly raising the bar for trial lawyers at a national level, distinguishing only the most experienced and accomplished members of the field,” said Lowe. “It’s a great honor to be selected by my peers for this distinction as our firm continues to strive for excellence in advocating on behalf of our clients and helping them achieve fair resolutions in the most daunting of circumstances.”

Since 1954, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers has been recognizing plaintiff and defense attorneys for their outstanding character, integrity, and demonstrated skill and ability as trial lawyers. The organization limits its membership to 500 trial lawyers in the U.S. under the age of 70, and now includes Fellows from 40 nations. Inductees must undergo a comprehensive evaluation process through which their background and qualifications are assessed by a group of colleagues and judges. Membership is by invitation only.

Lowe is a nationally recognized trial lawyer specializing in product liability, automobile product safety, and other complex cases. He has been board certified in trial advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy for more than 20 years. His professionalism and accomplishments have been recognized by Super Lawyers each year since the publication started its annual listing in 2004. For 2013, Lowe was ranked third in the entire state of Ohio.

Lowe has authored multiple texts and treatises on product liability and motor vehicle defect cases, and frequently lectures on these subjects both in the U.S. and abroad. He also remains very active in the legal community as a Fellow of both the International Society of Barristers and the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Since 1976, the award-winning trial attorneys at Lowe Scott Fisher have successfully represented people in the areas of motor vehicle accidents, automobile product safety, personal injury, home and workplace safety, medical malpractice, and birth injuries, as well as families of victims of wrongful death. U.S. News & World Report named the firm to its “Best Law Firms” list (2010–2013) in the area of product liability litigation on behalf of plaintiffs. Best Lawyers has selected partner James Lowe for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America each year since 1993. Lowe along with partners Greg Scott and Ryan Fisher were also honored as Ohio Super Lawyers for 2013.
