GM Issues 69th Recall of 2014

With three months still remaining in the calendar year, General Motors has issued its 69th recall of 2014.  The combined 2014 recalls cover nearly 30 million vehicles.  Perhaps most staggering about this number is the fact that the nearly 30 million dangerous and defective products were put on the market by a single manufacturer.

Let that sink in.  Millions upon millions of potentially dangerous–even deadly–products have been offered for sale to unsuspecting consumers by a single company.  Fortunately for consumers, the bad press that GM received from the GM ignition switch recall has caused an avalanche of recalls across the automotive industry.  But what about other manufacturing industries whose negligence has not been put into the spotlight?
