Lowe Scott Fisher Proudly Supports Greater Cleveland Food Bank

June 29, 2020

Lowe Scott Fisher was proud to participate in the Greater Cleveland Food Bank’s Market at Home fundraiser last week. The firm ordered a delicious lunch from Greater Cleveland Food Bank partner restaurant, Cocky’s Bagels and Sandwiches and held an office food drive, which resulted in over 100 items donated to the food bank.

More than one in six individuals throughout Greater Cleveland is food insecure. The Greater Cleveland Food Bank works throughout Northeast Ohio to fight food insecurity and give our community opportunities for nutritious meals. The Greater Cleveland Food Bank has been an invaluable community resource for the food insecure during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Donations and fundraising are an essential part of helping to provide for these individuals. The Market at Home fundraiser is a new twist on the annual Market at the Food Bank fundraiser, and aims to spotlight and support Greater Cleveland Food Bank’s restaurant industry partners while maintaining social distancing and stay-at-home order rules during this unprecedented time.

Lowe Scott Fisher is committed to giving back to the Greater Cleveland community and has worked with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank in the past. Choosing to participate in this fundraiser was a great way to give back to the community while keeping our staff safe during a serious time of need for the Cleveland community.

“This summer presented a challenge for our firm because we wanted to take on a community project, but we also needed to maintain social distancing,” said partner attorney Meghan Connolly.  “In the end, this opportunity to help out the Greater Cleveland Food Bank allowed us to stay safe while supporting a great cause. Kudos to the Food Bank for reinventing this event so that we could participate from the office.”

The firm has also worked with Providence House, the Cleveland APL, Special Spaces and Shoes and Clothes For Kids (SC4K). Lowe Scott Fisher has also developed a gifting program for individuals in need of replacement child car seats and children’s bicycle helmets.
