Attorney Meghan P. Connolly Awarded CATA President’s Award, Appointment to Vice President of Organization

Lowe Scott Fisher Co., LPA is proud to announce that partner attorney Meghan P. Connolly was honored at the 2021 Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys (CATA) Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony with the CATA President’s Award for her outstanding contributions to the organization. Connolly was also appointed Vice President of the organization after serving as Secretary in the 2020-2021 term.

“I’m honored to receive the President’s Award from our outgoing President, Todd Gurney. CATA provides so much value for our legal community and it’s wonderful to be a part of the ongoing evolution of the organization,” said Connolly. “Under Todd’s leadership, CATA really rose to the occasion in providing benefits to our members during the pandemic. Looking back over the last year, we are very proud of what we achieved.”

Connolly is a regular contributor to the CATA News Magazine and is involved with the organization’s many events and continuing education programs.

Connolly is a graduate of the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. She joined Lowe Scott Fisher as a senior law clerk during law school and became a partner in 2018. In addition to her work with CATA, Connolly is a member of numerous legal organizations including the American Association for Justice, the Ohio Association for Justice, and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. Connolly’s legal career is devoted to helping injured victims of negligence, with particular focus in helping nursing home residents and their families.   

Connolly serves on the Board of Directors of the Ohio Association for Justice and was recently named The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 in 2021. She has also been recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2018-2021 as a Top-Rated Personal Injury Attorney in Cleveland, Ohio.

CATA was founded in 1959 to help aid the Cleveland area legal community in providing better representation to personal injury plaintiffs through educational programming and training. The organization is made up of personal injury attorneys practicing in every area of the field.
