Hello, my name is Kyle. I’m one of the attorneys here at Lowe Scott Fisher. Today I want to talk about a specific type of automobile product liability case. That is very important to me. I believe that this is one of the cases that should be completely eliminated in almost all types of accidents. And that is post-collision fuel-fed fires.
Many of us here in Northeast Ohio may have seen the terrible high-speed car chase that ended in an accident and an automobile fire in Cleveland Heights. Unfortunately, that vehicle, along with so many others, still catch on fire from post-collision fuel-fed fires. Modern automobiles, including all vehicles manufactured and sold in the last ten years, should never burn from a post-collision Fuel-fed fire. In a typical accident, the fuel tanks in these vehicles must be adequately protected to allow for occupants of a vehicle to escape to be extracted from the vehicle in the event of an accident. However, manufacturers still place the gasoline tank or other component parts of the vehicle in a location that can create or result in a fire, and in some cases can make a fire more likely to occur.
Here at Lowe Scott Fisher, we have a long history of representing people in automobile fire cases. We will continue to do so. We are committed to holding auto manufacturing lawyers powerful for ensuring that their vehicles are as safe as possible. In addition to the traditional fuel-fed fires, we also now must consider the growing prevalence of electric vehicles.
Almost 20% of all new cars being purchased today are electric, and most of them are powered by highly flammable lithium-ion batteries. This technology is groundbreaking and is likely the future of automobile propulsion. These batteries are extremely flammable and therefore they must be adequately protected. When an electric car catches on fire, the results are often catastrophic. Auto manufacturers must adequately protect their battery units from potential fires because if they don’t, the results will be predictably devastating.
In the event of a suspected post-collision, fuel-fed, or battery-set automobile fire, it is crucial to preserve the evidence of the accident. Every day that goes by, the evidence of an automobile fire gets harder and harder to analyze. Prompt action can be the difference between understanding what happened in an accident and having crucial details lost forever.
As soon as we receive a call of a potential automobile fire case, our team here at Lowe ScottFisher jumps into action. We locate the remains of the vehicle, and we get our experts out to the scene of the accident to conduct inspections. If you or a loved one is injured in a post-collision, fuel, or battery fire, please feel free to call us anytime for a free consultation.
We are here to help you navigate through these challenging times and ensure that justice is served. Please, everyone, stay safe on the roads, and remember, our team at Lowe Scott Fisher is dedicated to protecting your rights and holding auto manufacturers accountable for the safety of their vehicles
